One of a kind "Smooshed Glass" aka "Glass Under Pressure" pieces that I've been experimenting with all spring! Glass is loaded, stacked, in the kiln with weights on top, and as the heat goes higher, the weights push down on the glass, resulting in thinner pieces with amazing color reactions. Fused glass pieces are food and dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing due to the thinner nature of the glass.
This serving piece is made from reactive robin's egg and turquoise blues and reactive ivory, creating the brown areas you see. The edge is irregular, and the piece is about 8.25" x 8.5" and about 3/4" high.
