Wholesale FAQ

Thanks for your interest in Kiku Handmade! All of our goods are made by hand by Laurie Freivogel, and ship from Oak Park, Illinois (just outside Chicago). Our initial minimum order is $200 - there is never a minimum on reorders, and there are no per-piece minimums (except on first custom design orders). We do not supply any packaging with our goods, but we can do box/tissue at a small additional cost. Looking for displays like ours?  Do you like the displays we use for our coasters at our wholesale shows?  We use Clear Solutions Displays.  Please let us know if you'd like artist cards!

Shipping time varies with the season, but please allow 3-8 weeks for most orders. During our busy seasons (typically August through early December, and February through late April), we schedule orders to ship monthly, and slots fill up quickly. We exhibit at NY Now in August and February each year.  We also participate in the Faire Summer + Winter Markets - please use our link to order (so we don't pay a commission) - https://faire.com/direct/kikuhandmade. Orders placed before market will be placed first in line for production, orders taken during market are scheduled as we receive them (you may also schedule orders out further). We will email you with a shipment ETA when you place your order. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Kiku Handmade sells our glass primarily to independent brick-and-mortar stores, galleries, and museum shops. Retailers may sell our work on their affiliated websites, but may not sell our goods on Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, or similar online marketplaces. We do not white label our goods.  We are proud to list your store on our Retailers link and to link to you on our Instagram page, let us know your handle!  

Kiku does not accept returns, but will exchange current designs within 3 months of order for exchange with a new order of at least $100. We are not able to take back for exchange: ornaments, Judaica, custom, made-to-order, and discontinued designs, and “Greetings from Your City” goods. Customer is responsible for shipping charges back to us.

In most cases, we charge your Visa/Mastercard/American Express, Discover at the time of shipment, prepaid checks are also accepted. If you are a terms account, note that you may pay with a card at the time of shipment, or ACH or check at net 30.  Past due balances will be charged a 2% interest rate per month from the date of the invoice. Kiku Handmade will charge a $45 fee for any returned checks. 

Custom design is available for your store, or your customers.  A non-refundable 50% deposit on all custom orders is required upon design approval before work begins. Kiku remains the sole owner of our designs, and may use them in the future. If a customer supplies a finished design, they retain ownership.  Please email us artwork and ideas for a quote.  Please note that custom screens for our retailers may be reclaimed if not used for 12 months, custom screens created for our retailer's customers will be reclaimed immediately.  Orders for retailer's custom designs after 12  months may incur a new screen setup fee.  Logged in wholesale customers can see pricing and information on custom here.
