Wholesale FAQ

Our initial minimum order is $200 - there is never a minimum on reorders, and there are no per-piece minimums. We do not supply any packaging with our goods beyond a silver band around coaster packs.  Please let us know if you'd like artist cards!

Shipping time varies with the season, but please allow 3-6 weeks for most orders. During our busy seasons (typically August through early December and February through late April), please allow for the potential of additional time. We exhibit at the NY Now Show Handmade Designer-Maker in late August and early February each year, orders placed before the shows will be placed first in line for production. We will email you with a shipment ETA when you place your order. 

Kiku Handmade sells our glass primarily to independent brick-and-mortar stores, galleries, and museum shops.  We do not sell to two independent brick-and-mortar stores in the same neighborhood/small town provided that store is meeting our annual minimum sales of $500 every 6 months.  Stores may sell our work on their affiliated websites, but may not sell our goods on Amazon, Etsy, or similar online marketplaces. If two stores in the same area want to sell Kiku products that are different (i.e. buckles v. city-centric goods v. ornaments v. icons), we will contact both stores to make sure we’re all on the same page. If a store has not ordered at least $1000 worth of product in the last 12 months and a new store in the same area requests an order, the new store will be swapped in for that neighborhood/town and the old store will be put on a waiting list and the link will be removed from our Retailers page during scheduled updates.

Returns and exchanges: Kiku does not accept returns, but will take current designs back for exchange with a new order of at least $100. We are not able to take back for exchange: ornaments, Judaica, custom, made-to-order, and discontinued designs, and “Greetings from Your City” goods. Customer is responsible for shipping charges back to us.

Kiku Handmade will charge a $45 fee for any returned checks. Visa/Mastercard/American Express, Discover and prepaid checks are accepted, and orders will be charged at the time of shipment. Custom orders require a prepayment of 50% of the custom portion of the order. Net terms may be made available for US stores with references at Kiku’s sole discretion. Past due balances will be charged a 2% interest rate per month from the date of the invoice.

Custom design is available for your store or your customers.  A non-refundable 50% deposit on all custom orders is required upon design approval before work begins. Kiku remains the sole owner of our designs, and may use them in the future. If a customer supplies a finished design, they retain ownership.  Please email us artwork and ideas for a quote.
