*The Old North Church in Boston is famous for the April 18, 1775, signal "one if by land, and two if by sea," which indicated how British troops were crossing the Charles River to Lexington and Concord. Two lanterns were hung in the steeple, signaling a sea crossing, which launched Paul Revere's midnight ride.
Coasters are screen printed, fused glass. Glass is cut, and screen printed by hand with fine glass enamels, then fused overnight to 1415 degrees in a kiln. Each piece is made by artist Laurie Freivogel in her Oak Park studio.
