Custom 8" Platter

Your image on glass in your choice of colors. Please email me first through the Custom Work contact page at the top, and tell me about your idea or image, and any color preferences you have.  I will email you back and answer your questions, and you can then send me your photo or artwork. Image should be a larger file, around 6x6 and 300 dpi, ideally high-contrast, (but I can do this in Photoshop) and not copyrighted by anyone other than you. I will email you a mock-up with your image/color ideas and ordering instructions.  Once a design is worked out and agreed upon, you can go ahead and order it here, noting the design + colors in the comments field (ie "bird platter, brown on ivory, red border"). I can get started as soon as I've received payment.  Custom work typically takes about 3-6 weeks after the order is placed, and is not returnable.  Note that this price is for one print color/screen, if we go with two print colors, it will be an additional $20 for the screen.

Platters are printed with fine enamels onto colorful sheet glass, then fused it in a kiln to about 1400 degrees.  They are then cold worked on a glass saw and/or grinder, then returned to the kiln to slump into it's final shape. They are screen printed, kiln formed glass, about 8" square and is slumped into a sushi-style mold, making it about 1" tall at the corners.

These make fantastic serving platters, but look equally fabulous on your table or hanging on the wall. They are food-safe, and while they can go in the dishwasher, we recommend hand washing.  These make great wedding and housewarming gifts, and each platter comes in its own gift box, ready for wrapping.
