Krampus 4" Handmade Fused Glass Bar Coaster

$ 22.00
SKU: co_krampus

Krampus 4" Handmade Fused Glass Bar Coaster is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

4x4" kiln formed glass single coaster. This design features a vintage Krampus* design screen printed with white enamel onto deep red glass, then fused in a kiln to about 1400 degrees. Each coaster has clear bumpers on the bottom to protect your surfaces.

Each coaster comes wrapped in colorful tissue, please let us know if you need a gift box.  Each piece is handmade by artist Laurie Freivogel in her tiny Oak Park, Illinois studio.

* Krampus is a half-man, half-goat figure from Central and Eastern Alpine folklore who is said to punish naughty children during Christmas. He is a variation of St. Nicholas's helpers, who are assigned to keep track of children's naughty lists. On December 5th, known as Krampusnacht, Krampus and St. Nicholas are said to visit children's homes. While St. Nicholas rewards good children with gifts, Krampus beats naughty children with birch branches or sticks, and may even eat them.  Be good, kids!
