Sushi Platter - One of a Kind, Ivory Chaos
One of a kind "Smooshed Glass" aka "Glass Under Pressure" pieces that I've been experimenting with all spring! Glass is loaded, stacked, in the kiln with weights on top, and as the heat goes higher, the weights push down on the glass, resulting in thinner pieces with amazing color reactions. Sushi dishes are about 14" long x 3 1/2" wide and about 1/4" high at the corners, and accompanying sauce dishes (if any) are about 3" square x 1" high. All sushi platters come with chopsticks as pictured.
This sushi platter is made with a beautiful rainbow color palette of stringers (little stripes of glass tubes) on transparent ivory in a random pattern - the reactions are pushed out during the fusing. Food and dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing due to the thinner nature of the glass.
