Pomegranate Seder Plate - made to order
We've chosen the pomegranate, representing fruitfulness, knowledge, learning, and wisdom, as the design element for our contemporary Seder Plate. Each of the six symbolic foods served on the Passover Seder Plate is represented inside of the pomegranate, written in Hebrew. Pomegranates are screen printed in red enamel onto a light, transparent amber glass in six separate sections on the platter. It is made to order, please allow an additional 2-4 weeks to make and ship.
The platter is screen printed, kiln formed glass. Designs are printed with glass enamels, fused in a kiln to about 1400 degrees, then cold worked on wet saws and grinders, then returned to the kiln to slump or drape into/over molds to about 1250 degrees. The platter is about 9" x 14" and, after fusing, is slumped into a sushi-style mold, making each section about 1/4" tall at the corners.
These make great wedding and housewarming or new year gifts. They are food safe and while they are dishwasher safe (china cycle, please), we recommend hand washing (dishwasher detergent can etch glass over time, resulting in scratched and cloudy glassware).
